Our Mission
At Ocoee Classical Academy, our goal is to create a Christ-centered, classical learning environment where Christ is made known and glorified through each subject studied. Our desire is to build a strong sense of community for our children and for ourselves as parents, as we explore God’s truth together. We commit ourselves to pray for and encourage one another (Ephesians 6:18), strive for peace with those around us (Romans 12:18, Hebrews 12:14), and to take delight in honoring each other (Romans 12:10).
We believe the task of educating our children is an honor and a privilege granted to us by our Creator (Deuteronomy 6:4-7). With that in mind, we commit ourselves to modeling wisdom and virtue before them, as we seek to develop these qualities in them.
We believe the truth of God is woven throughout His creation (Psalm 19:1, Romans 1:20), and we commit ourselves to exploring and discovering more of this truth alongside our students through the beauty of His Word and the world He has gifted to us.
Ultimately, we believe “the goal of education is not training for a certain task or career, but the shaping of persons who love truth, goodness, and beauty. The goal of education, in other words, is to seek the face of God.” – Newton Classical Academy
